At Sustainability to Action (STA), we believe that meaningful change begins with awareness, and with recognising the true value of nature in every decision we make.
The Natural Capital Flagship Programme helps organisations transform that awareness into action, equipping professionals with the skills, tools, and frameworks to embed nature into strategy, finance, and operations.

Developed by the Capitals Coalition, delivered by STA, and CPD-accredited by CPA, the programme follows the ACT-D Framework (Assess, Commit, Transform, Disclose) a practical roadmap for nature-positive, climate-aligned, and evidence-based decision-making
About the Programme

This interactive, six-week capacity-building programme is designed for businesses, government entities, and financial institutions across the UAE and MENA region.
Participants learn to identify, measure, and value their organisation’s impacts and dependencies on natural systems such as biodiversity, water, air, soil, and energy, and to integrate these insights into day-to-day decisions.
Through real-world exercises, local case studies, and global frameworks, the programme bridges ambition and implementation, helping teams move from understanding to measurable transformation.

As climate and biodiversity challenges intensify, integrating natural capital into decision-making strengthens organisational resilience, innovation, and long-term success.
For the UAE and Gulf region, where water scarcity and climate adaptation are top priorities, this programme supports the national vision for Net Zero 2050 and nature-positive development  
Learning Outcomes

By the end of the programme, participants will:

  • Build fluency in the shared language of natural capital and the capitals approach.
  • Understand how climate, nature, and equity issues affect business risk and opportunity.
  • Map and prioritise environmental dependencies and impacts.
  • Apply the ACT-D Framework to assess, commit, transform, and disclose.
  • Engage confidently with stakeholders, investors, and regulators on nature-related issues.
  • Develop a business case for integrating nature into decision-making.

Duration: Six weeks
Format: Virtual, in-person, or hybrid
Language: English (with Arabic support)

  • Week 2: Module 1 – Natural Capital, Risks & Dependencies
  • Week 3: Module 2 – Stakeholders, Value Chain, Valuation
  • Week 4: Homework Submission – Business Case Draft
  • Week 5: Module 3 – ACT-D: Commit, Transform, Disclose
  • Week 6: Live Q&A with Trainers & Certificate Presentation



Each cohort concludes with an optional in-person showcase and CPD-accredited certificate presentation
