STA at IUCN World Conservation Congress, Abu Dhabi 2025
Sustainability to Action (STA) proudly participated in two major sustainability dialogues this October. At the IUCN Business and Nature Summit (October 8, Abu Dhabi), STA co-organised and facilitated the “Natural Capital for Business Decision-Making” showcase in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Group (ADSG) and the Capitals Coalition, featuring UAE companies sharing real-world cases on integrating natural capital into strategy and finance .
Later that week, STA joined the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week series at ADNEC for “Unlocking Confidence: Natural Capital in Business Decisions” , a participatory fishbowl dialogue bringing together UAE and global leaders to explore how businesses are aligning with Target 15 of the Global Biodiversity Framework and advancing nature-positive transformation.
ADSG Flagship Report: On the Path to Nature-Positive and Net-Zero Sustainability to Action contributed to the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Group’s (ADSG) latest flagship report, “Capacity Building on Natural Capital Valuation for Business Decision Making.” The report highlights how organisations in the UAE are integrating natural capital into their sustainability strategies, with STA supporting programme design, content, and organisational insights. In July 2025, Sustainability to Action and the Capitals Coalition co-hosted the Valuing Nature in the Gulf webinar as part of Global Capitals Week. The session brought together leading experts including Dexter Galvin, James Spurgeon, Dr. Jenny Davidson, and Elizabeth To, highlighting how Gulf-based organisations can integrate natural capital and nature-positive strategies into decision-making.
In April 2025, Sustainability to Action participated in the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Group Forum, bringing together leaders from government, business, and civil society to advance sustainability in the UAE. Our team contributed to discussions on integrating natural capital and nature-positive approaches into organisational strategies.
